Senior Citizen Safety Presentations
Presentations are available for Senior Citizen groups within the city of Carrollton regarding home fire safety, kitchen/cooking safety, falls prevention, and fire and life safety for the disabled. Please contact the Fire and Life Safety Educator at communityed@cityofcarrollton.com for additional information or to schedule a presentation.
NOTE: A minimum of two weeks notice is required.
Remembering When® Program
Remembering When® : a Fire and Fall Prevention Program for older adults, developed by NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), is a program that contains ideas for conducting fun and interactive safety presentations for senior citizens. It is designed for anyone wanting to promote safety for senior adults. Remembering When® can be used for group presentations, home visits, or for individuals looking for information on how to protect themselves from fire and/or falls. Please contact the Fire and Life Safety Educator for additional information.
The guidebook and presentation materials have been distributed to several locations throughout the Carrollton/Farmers Branch area. You may visit these locations to review or checkout the materials.
