Carrollton Fire Rescue believes that every child deserves to get to their destination safely! 

We are happy to offer free car seat installation classes to caregivers on a one to one basis. Classes typically take about 45 minutes and our Certified Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians will take the time to work with you to find the best solution for your personal vehicle, specific car seat, and your individual needs. 

Our goal is not to install the seat for you, but that you drive away from class feeling confident in your ability to install your child's car seat securely in your own vehicle, in a rental, in your family members car, etc. 

Classes are by appointment only and are typically offered during normal business hours. 

We can meet you at the Fire Station nearest you or even your own driveway within Carrollton city limits if you wish. An ideal location would be away from road noise and preferably out of direct sunlight. 

Please come to your appointment prepared with the following:

• The vehicle(s) that will be used the most for child transportation. 
• Your car seat and base, if applicable.
• Both the car seat and vehicle user manuals.
• Your child's current weight and height.
• We encourage caregivers to attempt to install the car seat on your own before meeting with us.
