Fire Extinguisher Live-Fire Training

After completing the instruction phase of the class, participants are provided with an opportunity to use a fire extinguisher on a controlled fire utilizing the Fire Department's Live-Fire Training Simulator.  Fire extinguisher classes last approximately one hour and cover the following topics:

• Discussion on the different types of fire
• Correct extinguisher to use for each type of fire
• How to decide whether to fight the fire or evacuate immediately
• Proper procedures for using an extinguisher

The cost is $300 for up to 12 people and $25 for each additional person. 

This class meets OSHA annual requirements, as well as new employee requirements.
