Water Demand Strategies
These water use guidelines are governed by the City's water conservation plan.
- From April 1 - October 31 use of permanently installed automatic irrigation system is prohibited between the hours 10 am and 6 pm
- Outdoor watering is prohibited during any form of precipitation or during freezing temperatures.
- Water run-off in excess of 50 feet from the property line is prohibited.
- Irrigation systems must be properly maintained to prevent water waste.
- All water users in the City of Carrollton are asked to continue voluntary use of the twice per week watering schedule.

- The City of Carrollton's most recent Water Conservation Plan was adopted by city council in May 2024. This ordinance outlines our efforts for everyday conservation efforts as well as operational strategies that can be adopted when supplies fall below specific targeted levels.
