Home MenuWaterway Cleanup
The City of Carrollton works hard to keep our creeks, parks, and trails clear of litter. Unfortunately these areas still become polluted with litter and other wastes especially after a rain. The litter is made up of plastic bottles, plastic bags, cardboard, and styrofoam. You can see these floating in a creek or tangled in the grass and trees. You can do your part by not littering or by volunteering to help pick up trash. Waterway clean-up projects will help beautify our community while removing unwanted litter from our creeks and parks. The city will provide individuals or groups with all the necessary equipment to remove litter. While this is similar to the Adopt-A-Spot program, this program can be a one-time or short term commitment. Do you want to make a positive impact on our waterways? You can sign up for the Waterway Clean-up program by calling our offices at 972-466-3035 or filling out the Volunteer Interest Survey here.
Where can I volunteer? Visit Trash Free Texas to see all of Carrollton's areas. Be sure you choose a location in Carrollton. All volunteers must also fill out the Project Volunteer Liability Waiver before their clean-up takes place. Have more questions? Waterway Cleanup FAQ |
