Personal History: Seven brothers and 4 sisters; all my brothers were in a different branch of military; married with 5 children (3 sons & 3 daughters)

Place of Recruitment: Reading, Pennsylvania (Drafted)

Branch of Service: US Army Air Corps: 1944 – 1946

Class: Corporal

Military Occupation: Infantry

Service History, Stateside or Abroad: I took infantry training at Camp Blanding, Florida. After training, I was assigned to the Army Air Corp. I spent sometime at the military bases in Mississippi and Arizona. I was also stationed at Fort Douglas, Utah, until I was discharged in 1946. I returned to Reading, Pennsylvania and was re-employed by Diner Knitting Company (textile business). I worked on the knitting machine. Thereafter, I worked for the Lancaster General Hospital for 10 years. I retired in 1962 and moved to Carrollton, Texas.

Honors & Commendations: Good Conduct Medal

Present Location: Carrollton, Texas. I am now a resident of the Atria (Assisted Living), Carrollton.
