Dallas County is updating their
Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP).

  • The goal of the hazard mitigation plan update is to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from hazards known to affect the area through effective mitigation.

  • Public input will help the project team to analyze potential hazards affecting residents and recommend possible actions to reduce their impact.

Public participation by taking the Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Survey and/or attending a public meeting provides the planning team valuable information that will be used in the development of the HMAP and educate the planning team's approach.

The purpose of the public meetings are to provide a project overview from H2O Partners, Inc., consultant to the project, and solicit information from citizens.
