Free Irrigation System Inspections
Carrollton is offering free irrigation inspections through the Save Water by the Yard Program until August 30 (or until the funds are exhausted) for eligible Carrollton Water Utilities residential customers with in-ground irrigation systems.

City Facilities CLOSED for Furlough Day May 28, Closed for Memorial Day Holiday May 31
City facilities will be closed on Friday, May 28 for the first of three scheduled furlough days this year, in an effort to address the City’s estimated $2.9 million budget shortfall. Essential services such as Police and Fire will still be operational. Oak Creek Tennis Center and Indian Creek Golf Club are operated on a contractual basis and will not be closed for furlough days. The City of Carrollton has begun Stage 1 of conserving water during peak usage hours. From May to September residents must restrict their outdoor watering to midnight to 10 am or from 7 pm to midnight; no watering is allowed from 10 am to 7 pm.

911 Public Education Day
Come visit with public safety representatives from the 911 Dispatch Center, Police Department, Fire Department and the Police K9 Unit on Saturday, May 15 from 9am-1pm at Crosby Recreation Center (1610 E. Crosby Road). Enjoy a bounce house and other fun activities.

Volunteers Assist Officers in Parking Violation Enforcement
The Carrollton Police Department is launching a new program initiative, in partnership with specially trained alumni of the Carrollton Citizen Police Academy. These graduates now volunteer their time as part of the Carrollton Citizen Patrol, performing tasks such as parking violation enforcement that allow police officers to concentrate on other aspects of their job.
