Carrollton Centennial Time Capsule Accepting Submissions through Nov. 22
Carrollton Volunteers, Inc. will celebrate the City of Carrollton’s Centennial with a 25-year Time Capsule to be buried behind the Carrollton Senior Center at Josey Ranch Lake on Saturday, December 7.

Carrollton Public Library Receives Grants for Digitization of Local History Materials
The Carrollton Public Library received two grants for digitization of local history materials. from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (2014).

Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) announced the seventh human West Nile virus case in Dallas County for the 2013 season. The resident lives in 75006 and was diagnosed with West Nile Neuroinvasive Disease. Click through for additional information about how to take necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

Notice of Tax Revenue Increase
THE CITY OF CARROLLTON ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 4.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $14.99.
