The City Council of the City of Carrollton will hold Public Hearings Tuesday, August 15, 2017 and Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Carrollton City Hall (1945 E. Jackson Road) on the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning Sunday, October 1, 2017 and ending Sunday, September 30, 2018.

The public is invited to attend and express their opinions, written or verbal, concerning the proposed budget.

This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $6,261,196, a 8.6% increase, and of that amount $1,217,060 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

The proposed budget may be examined at the office of the City Secretary at City Hall Mondays through Thursdays between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Fridays between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. or on the website at cityofcarrollton.com/finance.
