Celebrate Mother's Day with family and friends on the Museum grounds and beautiful Pearl Perry Gravley Park while listening to the New Horizons Dixie Swing Band play from the front porch of the historic home. They will have your toes tapping and the kids dancing along with the trombone and clarinet! Bring a picnic basket, blankets, and lawn chairs. Free ice cream and lemonade will be served. Children can make a card and old-fashioned handmade gift for mom. Create a theme for your picnic and enter the annual Mother's Day Picnic contest in one of three categories: Best Family, Most Elegant, or Most Creative. Registration for the contest begins at 4 pm and judging takes place at 4:45 pm with winners announced at the beginning of the concert.
