Personal History: Dallas Tech High School; 5 brothers and 2 sisters

Place of Recruitment: Dallas, TX

Branch of Service: U.S. Navy, Aug. 1943-Jan. 1946 (WWII)

Class: Seaman 1st Class

Service History, Stateside or Abroad: 1943-Basic training at the U.S. Navy Base in San Diego, CA and departed for the South Pacific (Philippines & Japan) thereafter. My job duty was to send and receive messages on the mode of operations overseas. I was assigned to the U.S. Sitkoh Bay (aircraft carrier). There was a lot of action overseas. We were in 5 battle stars. That means we were engaged with the enemies 5 different times. I enjoyed being in the Navy and will defend my country again to keep the United States free and other countries that want to glow in the sunshine of freedom. I was discharged in January of 1946 and returned to Dallas.

Commendations & Honors: Good Conduct Medal, WWII medals

Present Location: Carrollton, TX. I worked and resided in Dallas/Carrollton. I am now a resident of the Atria, Carrollton.
