I took basic training in Amarillo, Texas. Thereafter, I went to Gunnery School in Hali gen, Texas, for six weeks. Next, I went to Crew training in Tonapha, Nevada for six weeks. After training, I went to Norfolk, Virginia and became a Radar Crew. Then I went overseas to New Guinea, Philippines to bomb Formosa. We were headed to Japan to do the same, but the war ended. However, we were there to secure the area and to show up the end of the war. I received a Honorable discharge in 1946. I returned to Dallas and pursued a college in Business Management. I was a member of the VFW and The American Legion.

Present Location: Carrollton, Texas . I am now a resident of the Atria (Assisted Living), Carrollton. Also, my daughter, lives in Carrollton.
