Two years overseas; sailed with 65 ships to England, France and Belgian. The water was very rough and lot of the men got very sick. We landed in London and got ready for the invasion. Our function was to keep the barrage balloons (shaped like zeppelins) up high so that the Germans could not attack our planes but we could attack their air-crafts.
