Background and Education

Rowena Raroque-Watters received her Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, her Associate Degree in Information Systems from North Lake College in Dallas, her MBA at the University of Dallas and a post graduate Certificate in Human Resources also from the University of Dallas. 

Rowena started her career in the hotel industry in various parts of Asia before moving to the United States for post graduate studies and eventually launching her business in North Texas.

As an entrepreneur, she founded successful companies such as Southwest Logistical Systems and Samantha Rose Designs. She was also Owner and President of Maverick Medical Enterprises and ETC Learning Centers.

 

Public Service 

She currently sits as a Board Member of the Jubilee of Cultures (co-founder) and the Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce (COFACC). She was recently State President of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Texas.

Rowena was voted Chamber President of the Year in 2023 by the Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce, a national organization consisting of over 40 Filipino American chambers in the United States. She was recognized as one of the “Top 25 Women of Dallas in 2016” by the Steed Society Female Success Factor. She was awarded “Member of the Yar” in 2016 by the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and MVP in 2019 by the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce Texas.
