Education and Professional
Councilmember Daisy Palomo is a 5th generation Texan, born and raised in Dallas, Oak Cliff, and a resident of Carrollton for the past 15 years. She is the youngest of seven and the first in her family to graduate from college. She received her Associates of Arts from Northlake College in 1997, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Master of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2000 and 2006 respectively. Daisy began her professional career at Sprint Corporation as a Software Engineer. Since she received her MBA, she has held a variety of corporate accounting and finance positions for companies like Robert Half Management Resources, Toyota Motor North America, GameStop and CSC, Computer Sciences Corporation. Daisy is currently working for American Airlines Corp. in the Revenue Management organization. She is also a small business owner focusing on tax preparation and bookkeeping.
Public Service
Daisy Palomo was elected to the City Council of Carrollton in May 2023. She is an alumnus of the Carrollton Citizens’ Police Academy in both Spanish and English classes of 2022. Daisy volunteers with special events with the CCPAAA as well as community policing events like UNIDOS meetings with residents. She is also an alumnus of the Carrollton Citizens’ Fire Academy of 2023. She volunteers with Make It Count (formerly known as Bea’s Kids) as a RESH180 class facilitator for CFBISD high schools. She completed the School Partners USA program as part of the Dallas cohort to bridge partnerships with CFBISD, with an emphasis on R.L. Turner High School. She was part of team that introduced Community Mural projects at our local schools. Daisy is a board member of Grace Christian Preschool where they offer childcare for teen moms and area families. She is an active volunteer in the community with the Thanksgiving Day Soup Kitchen, the Free Community Clothes Closet and always willing to help those in need. Daisy is part of the leadership team in her church focusing on youth and young adult ministries, and also helps with various church administration functions. She serves as the Chaplain for the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 597. She is a co-host on the Alexandra & Friends Podcast which has listeners all around the world.
Personal
Daisy has been married to her husband, Luis for 10 years and together they have a blended family of seven children. She is proud to have raised her family in Carrollton with two graduates from R.L. Turner METSA academy and two graduates from Early College High School at Brookhaven. In June of 2023, Daisy is very proud U.S. Marine mom. When time allows, she loves to travel and make lasting memories with her husband and grown children.
