CDRA Mission: Harness What We Have

The winter storms of February 2021 showed us that when a severe event affects the entire State at once, we cannot always count on receiving help and resources from outside the City.

The Carrollton Disaster Response Alliance (CDRA) will address this by creating an umbrella organization managed by the Office of Emergency Management to identify the volunteer groups, houses of worship, organizations, businesses, teams and non-governmental organizations in Carrollton that are willing and capable of assisting during a disaster.

These groups will then choose a need to support and identify several points of contact that Carrollton’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) can coordinate with during an incident to meet urgent needs. This will allow us to respond together as one City.

HELP NEEDED

  • Emergency shelter setup/takedown
  • Shelter staffing and food
  • Pet care
  • Transportation support
  • Donations management
  • Volunteer management
  • And more
