The City of Carrollton is excited to host it's second Recycle Art Contest for 2024 Earth Day!

The Challenge: Unleash your creativity by transforming recyclable materials into a work of art with this year's theme: the Flora and Fauna of Carrollton.

Who Can Participate: Open to students K-12th grade enrolled in any Carrollton school, plus those in private schools or homeschooled who reside in Carrollton.

Guidelines:

  • Only one entry per student. Group work is not allowed.
  • Artwork must be made entirely of recycled/reused materials. Do not purchase new materials for art piece.
  • Students can use glue, wire, tape, twine, string, or any other adhesive method to bind the art piece together.
  • Art materials such as paint, crayons, and markers, are acceptable.
  • Entries must be appropriate for all ages and may not promote a business, product, or political viewpoint.

Winners:

  •  Two participating categories: K-5 and 6-12.
  • Winners in both categories are chosen by popular vote and will receive a trophy, prize box, and recognition on City channels.

Deadline: Students must register by Friday, April 12, and bring their entry to the Earth Day Celebration on April 20.
