Looking for Service Projects in the Carrollton community?

PPNA 6.6.2015 070The Carrollton Cares program encourages community spirit by partnering the City with local religious institutions and businesses that desire to help residents in need. Services can include smaller projects like painting to more extensive repairs depending on the experience of the group. A City coordinator will assist in matching groups with appropriate tasks.

The City of Carrollton has many strong and active religious institutions, non profits, volunteer associations and community minded businesses within its boundaries. These organizations, along with their partnerships with schools, businesses, neighborhood groups, community organizations, and the city help make Carrollton what it is today.  The city encourages communication, partnership and understanding among these groups. In order to promote communication and collaboration the City of Carrolton Community Development Office is starting a registration process for these groups with roots in Carrollton.  It is free to register your  organization, business, volunteer association or non-profit with the city of Carrollton and your church does not have to be located within our city boundaries, we require only that you have a mission to serve the Carrollton Community.

To apply please contact Community Development staff at 972-466-5727 or communitydevelopment@cityofcarrollton.com

Volunteerism and Local Missions

1847 Dale Cove 042 croppedThe City of Carrollton is starting to partner with local churches in the area that have a desire to help residents in need. Projects could include fence repair, painting a house, minor exterior repairs and yard work. Your church group will be able to decide what type of project you would like to work on (date &time) and the city will do their best to match the right project for your group. We encourage each church to register so that we can learn what types of projects the groups are interested in and match you with the right project for your team.
