Property Standards Board (PSB)
Board of Adjustment (BOA)

General Information

  • The Property Standards Board / Board of Adjustment meets the fourth Thursday of each month, as needed, at 6:30 p.m.
  • Application dates for submitting requests is the fourth Wednesday of each month prior to the date of the meeting.
  • The approval of the board does not constitute the issuance of a building permit, but if the case is approved by the board, staff will process the application and issue the permit.
  • The PSB hears and decides appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Building Official and Fire Marshal relative to the application and interpretation of building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire and housing codes, as well as the visibility ordinance.
  • The BOA is empowered by state law to review and make exceptions to the City's Zoning Ordinance, Sign Ordinance, and other administrative decisions of the City.
  • The Board consists of nine members.
