Little Blue Heron

• Length 22” - 29"
• Wingspan 39" - 41"
• Very abundant species in our local heronries
• Blue and grey bill
• Hunched posture
• Greenish legs
• Adults are purple-maroon and slate blue. Juveniles are white.
• Breed March – July
• 3-4 eggs in a clutch
• Pale Blueish Green eggs
