Thomas Splash is open for the season! This free facility is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. To start the water features, touch the silver sensor on top of the red fire hydrant water feature in the splash area.

Carrollton Adopts E-Cigarette Ban
The Carrollton City Council has passed an ordinance that places a ban on smoking electronic cigarettes inside or within 20 feet of local retail and restaurant establishments.

Free Youth Fishing Event May 24
Carrollton's Parks and Recreation and the Texas Junior Anglers (TJA) program will host a free youth fishing event for children 16 and under at the Josey Ranch Park Pond (1440 Keller Springs Road) on Saturday, May 24 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Youth Track & Field Registration Ends May 9

Memorial Day Closures
Carrollton City Hall, Rosemeade Recreation Center, Crosby Recreation Center, both libraries, the Senior Center, and Oak Creek Tennis Center will be closed on Monday, May 26 for the Memorial Day holiday. Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Notice of Water Pressure Increase
The City of Carrollton has completed work to increase water pressure in areas previously experiencing low water pressure. The improvements and higher water pressure will be implemented on Monday, April 28.

Carrollton Opens Pedestrian Bridge for Hutton Branch Trail
The City of Carrollton will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to honor the grand opening of the Hutton Branch Trail pedestrian bridge on Thursday, May 1 at 11 a.m. near the Denton Drive/Palm Street trail head. The 12-foot wide pedestrian bridge crosses the Hutton Branch Creek near the Downtown Carrollton DART Station.

Carrollton Economic Development Ranks Number Four in DBJ List
The City of Carrollton Economic Development Department ranked as the fourth largest North Texas Economic Development agency, according to the Dallas Business Journal (DBJ). Carrollton completed a total of 117 deals—five more than in 2012—with a total value of $313.80 million.

Carrollton Raises Awareness in April with Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center
In honor of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center’s April 9 event, “Show Your Blue Day”, the City of Carrollton is asking residents to wear blue to raise awareness of the need to take action to protect children. Carrollton Celebrates National Community Development Week
The event will include a ribbon cutting at Jimmy Porter Park and a community picnic in the park with free hot dogs, City information booths, and a chance to mingle with Carrollton’s elected officials, all to celebrate the accomplishments of the Hill ‘N Dale NOTICE Program.

Beloved Carrollton Park Celebrates Grand Re-opening and Ribbon Cutting

The City of Carrollton drinking water system maintains a “Superior” rating, the highest assessment mark for water quality issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This rating is maintained by continually exceeding the state requirements for water quality and operational standards.

Carrollton Fire Fighters ‘Fill the Boot’ for Muscular Dystrophy
The campaign will run from Tuesday, April 22 through Thursday, April 24. Local 2182 fire fighters across eight stations will go out into the City at major intersections with fireman’s boots in hand to collect donations from citizens and passing motorists.
