Youth Flag Football Registration Open through February 6
Registration is open through February 6 for the co-ed Flag Football League. Girls and boys, ages 7-14 years old may register through the City of Carrollton Athletics Office.

Last Chance to Register for the Carrollton Firefighter Entrance Exam
Registration for the City of Carrollton firefighter entrance exam will be open from Monday, January 5 through Thursday, February 5. The exam will be administered Saturday, February 7 at 9 a.m. in the Newman Smith High School cafeteria.

Carrollton’s Free Festival at the Switchyard November 1
The 5th Annual Carrollton Festival at the Switchyard will take place on the Downtown Carrollton Square and will feature live entertainment from headliners Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms, along with Jay Farrar (of Son Volt), Quiet Company, The Orbans, Thunder Road, Sealion, Maxx Band, and an array of children’s entertainers.

Water Rate Increases January 1
The Fiscal Year 2015 rate increase, effective January 1, 2015, will increase water rates by 3% and sewer rates by 5%. Based on the average residential consumption used in the Residential Municipal Cost of Services Comparison, the average increase will be 3.8%.

NOTICE: Municipal Court Closure - Nov. 4
The Carrollton Municipal Court will be closed Tuesday, November 4, from noon until 5:30 p.m. Court business will be conducted as usual from 7:30 a.m. until noon. The Municipal Court Kiosk is open 24/7 and is located right outside the Municipal Court entrance.

Carrollton Libraries Closed October 10
The Hebron and Josey Library and the Josey Ranch Lake Library will be closed for staff development on Friday, October 10. Both Libraries will reopen on Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m. for normal operating hours.
