AAA and Stable: Carrollton on Solid Financial Ground
The City's AAA credit rating has been reaffirmed by Fitch rating agency as reported in the Wall Street Journal. This is due to strong financial leadership by City Council and staff, resulting in better interest rates, and therefore cost savings for our residents.

Public Input Sought for Hazard Mitigation Funding
Carrollton Emergency Management is currently working with Dallas County to create a Hazard Mitigation Action Plan for the City. Carrollton has been awarded the 2013 Public Works Project of the Year Award by the Texas Public Works Association (TPWA) in the division of projects “$2 million, but less than $5 million” for the environment category. The award is for the Furneaux Creek 5 Channel Improvement Project.
