In a galaxy not so far away, Downtown Carrollton will honor Star Wars Day with a free themed event on Wednesday, May 4 on the Square (1106 S. Broadway Street).
Come in costume to enjoy Star Wars-themed booths, activities, and photo opportunities. “May the Fourth Be With You” is sure to satisfy any superfans of the film franchise as attendees will get a chance to see Star Wars merchandise from Bloom’s Candy & Soda Pop Shop as well as participate in family-friendly activities run by the Old Downtown Carrollton Association.
Because Disney does not yet allow public viewings of any of the
Star Wars films, stick around for a free screening of Star Wars parody film
Spaceballs (PG) starring Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga, and John Candy.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enhance your movie-viewing experience and may the 4th, er, force be with you. Event begins at 6 p.m. and the movie screening will begin at sunset.
