The 3M Cloud Library eBooks and eAudiobooks collection will now be available at the Carrollton Public Library.
More than 3,000 titles are available through this electronic library and more will be added each month. Carrollton residents and Denton County residents are now able to read and check out these titles at home or on the go. Patrons can access and browse the digital bookshelf from anywhere or use Discovery Terminal download stations in the Libraries.
“We are so pleased to offer this new eBook solution,” Carrollton Public Library Director Sue Haas said. “It is streamlined and readily accessible.”
The eBooks are compatible with PCs, Macs, iPads, iPhones, Nook tablets, Android tablets and phones, and Kindle Fire. Apps to browse the collection, select, and read books are available through the App Store and Google Play. Up to four titles can be checked out at one time for a period of 14 days.
Complete instructions for downloading and reading eBooks are available at cityofcarrollton.com/library/ebooks.
Additionally, more than 50 popular digital magazines from Zinio for Libraries, the ultimate app for magazine lovers, are now available as well.
Residents may check out magazines in a PC or Mac browser and view them on a tablet or smartphone with their library card. The digital magazine editions are available to view 24 hours a day and best of all, titles do not have to be returned and do not expire.
“This adds an additional digital service in our 24-7 Digital Branch,” Haas said. “Simply visit cityofcarrollton.com/zinio to learn more about accessing complete digital magazines.”
