Bea’s Kids organization serves more than 150,000 high school students and their families in four Tutoring Centers located in low-income apartment complexes. The programming includes after-school curriculum based tutoring, personal development programs, classes for the parents, teen counseling, reading programs, SAT preparation, Back-to-School Bash, summer camp, exposure to the arts and sports and support and encouragement from numerous volunteers.

Bea Salazar, Founder and long time resident of Carrollton, has received awards from two Presidents of the United States, has a school named after her and has accepted numerous honors, accolades and awards.
The economic times have really hurt many charities and Bea is struggling to keep her centers going. This garage sale will be a huge money raiser if you come out and support the Garage Sale by donating items to sell or volunteer your time to sort and work the sale.

Bring items to donate any time between 6 am to 1 pm on May 28 or go to www.beaskids.org to donate them before Saturday. We will be there starting at 5 am.

Volunteers: We need lots of volunteers to help work garage sale and sort and price items…particularly early in the morning.
