Celebrate over 100 yrs. of JuneTeenth! Community Program will include City of Carrollton Mayor and Councilmembers Opening Ceremony, Black Pioneer Founder Families of the 1800s, Poems, Dances, and Speeches. Awards will be given to our outstanding Leaders of the Communities, including Older Black American Trail Blazers. Join us Fun will be had by All! Our program will include poems, dances, and speeches.
Perseverance Legacy
For Carrollton families this day is also about struggling for Equality and commemorating Family fight for Civil Rights struggle.
Juneteenth Celebration
Texas Commemoration of the end of slavery, it dates to June 19, 1865 when Union soldiers landed in Galveston, TX with freedom news that the war had ended. Slaves were free throughout the nation. Slaves in Texas heard of their Freedom.
We are grateful for all the Veterans that served our United States of America, as we Celebrate JuneTeenth we highlight our Black Veterans.
