Location: American Legion Post 597, 1024 S Elm Street

Members of Post 597 will be hosting its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off, Dessert Contest, and Silent Auction on September 10, 2022 at . Proceeds from the event will be used to help American Legion Post #597, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 597, Sons of the American Legion 597, and American Legion Riders 597 which support various Veteran and community programs and projects including, but not limited to Boys and Girls State, Patriot Paws, Sweats for Vets, Christmas for Kids, Cancer Research, and other organizations that are in place to aide Veterans, their families, and the community. 
 
 Fees
 Chili $15 before event - $20 at the door
 Dessert $15 before event - $20 at the door
 People’s Choice Judges $15 before the event - $20 at the door (includes chili and dessert tastings)
 All contest participants and tasters will be entered for door prizes.

 Contestant Check-in starts 2pm
 Flag Raising Ceremony 3pm
 Judging starts at 4pm
 Silent Auction starts 3pm
 Serving tastings 4:30pm until gone
