Learn how you and your family can be prepared when disaster strikes. Officers and staff from the Carrollton Police Department, Carrollton Fire Rescue, and the Office of Emergency Management will discuss topics that cover both the natural and technological hazards that affect Carrollton and what you can do to prepare for them. They will explain the best methods for receiving vital warning information and what to do in the middle of a disaster. Participants will learn how to assemble an emergency preparedness supply kit, as well as how to create a family emergency plan.
CPD will discuss crime prevention methods for your home, neighborhood, and community including what resources and tools can be used when reporting an incident, crime prevention strategies and safety precautions, and community engagement tips on how residents can be the eyes and ears of our city.
Remember, preparedness starts at home. Are you prepared?
