Carrollton’s inaugural Festival at the Switchyard will feature big-name entertainment concerts, great food, beer and wine, arts and crafts, youth-specific live entertainment, interactive games and activities for smaller children.
On Friday, night look for performances by The Old 97s and Polyphonic Spree; Saturday night will feature performances by Robert Earl Keen and others.
This two day festival honors the critical role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map a century and a half ago – and the continuing importance of rail as DART Green Line lightrail service arrives at three new Carrollton stations.
The outdoor, multi-stage festival will be held on the streets of Downtown Carrollton, situated off I-35E between the George Bush Turnpike and LBJ Freeway at Belt Line Road.
