Community members from surrounding cities are
invited to a series of meetings to discuss the Cotton Belt Regional Rail
Corridor project. The project was approved in 2006 and has an implementation
date of 2035; however, DART now has an opportunity to accelerate the project by
more than 10 years. Meetings will include information on project history and
background; proposed budget and schedule; and next steps for development.
Meetings are scheduled for Richardson, Addison, Dallas, Plano, and Irving. The
Carrollton meeting will take place on Wednesday, August, 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the
Plaza Arts Center in Downtown (1115 4th Avenue).
