“May the Fourth Be With You” movie event. In a galaxy not so far away, Downtown Carrollton will honor Star Wars Day with a free themed event on the Square. Come in costume to enjoy Star Wars-themed booths, activities, and photo opportunities. Since Disney will not allow the screening of any of the Star Wars films, stay for a free screening of Star Wars parody film Spaceballs (PG) starring Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga, and John Candy. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enhance your movie-viewing experience and may the 4th, er, force be with you.

Event begins at 6 p.m. and the movie screening will begin at sunset.
