Local big top entertainers are bringing “circus dinner theater with a really silly name” to Carrollton Plaza Arts Cente. Salmagundi! will provide a family-friendly circus experience with food and variety entertainment, and tickets are now available online for opening night. The Circus Freaks plan to put on a monthly production of Salmagundi!, with a different performance lineup each time. Every production will be geared toward people of all ages, and families are welcome and encouraged to see the show.

About Salmagundi!: Borrowing its namesake from a dish traditionally made as a pirate stew or a salad with many textures and colors, Salmagundi! promises a little bit of something for everyone. Variety is the key ingredient for this show, along with a tasty meal served by the Plaza Arts Center. Dinner will be served at 6pm, and the show will begin at 7pm. The May 22nd lineup includes a wide array of talent, ranging from accordion players and jugglers to sword swallowers and dancing clowns. Salmagundi! promises to bring circus to a broader community in the Carrollton area and beyond, widening the performance map for the Circus Freaks even further.
About Circus Freaks: Created in August 2010 by Russ Sharek, the Circus Freaks are a self-described "plucky band of versatile variety vaudevillians who mix improvisational theater, musical mayhem and big top talent for your circus entertainment."
