Free SKYWARN Class
Attend a free SKYWARN training class on Saturday, January 10 from 9-11 a.m. in the Council Chambers of Carrollton City Hall (1945 E. Jackson Road). Join the team of SKYWARN storm spotters who are part of the ranks of citizens who form the nation’s first line of defense against severe weather, giving communities the precious gift of time. Training covers basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, information to report, how to report information, and basic severe weather safety.
