The City of Carrollton currently has bronze critters which have taken up residence throughout our historic Downtown! Use the clues to search for our beloved critters up and down Broadway and over off Main Street between Belt Line and Vandergriff. Take a selfie and post your photos to the City's social media. #CarrolltonCritters
1. Lee the Armadillo is strong, tough, and kind. He enjoys being where his friends in Fire Admin reside.
2. Crosby the Bee may be hard for you to see. Find him near the Downtown buzz and information on Carrollton's history.
3. Carter the Chameleon enjoys his perch while taking a nap. Find him where you might reference a map.
4. If you seek Jimmy the Fish, find him swimming where you make a wish.
5. When Webb the Frog isn't hopping around the block, find him on a path where people may walk.
6. Perry the Mouse has come out for a drink, hurry to find him because he will be gone in a blink.
7. Whitty the Owl is old and wise. Finding him perched in the center of town should be no surprise.
8. Jackson the Rabbit is enjoying a snack. Come join him near one of the historical plaques.
9. Peter the Raccoon likes to play in the dark. During the day you might find him hiding in a park.
10. Sandy the Squirrel can usually be found enjoying the trees. This fun girl can climb them with ease.
11. Thomas the Turtle likes to relax the day away. Come sit with him in his favorite spot along Broadway.
Meet our Artist!
Sanjana (Sanj) Gagrani is the artist behind the critters! After drawing each critter, her 2D images were sent to a company to be brought to life. Clay sculptures of each critter were created and then cast into their final bronze figures you search for today.
Sanj is a junior Marketing major at The University of Texas at Dallas. Though she learned art through more traditional mediums, she has used those skills as stepping stones into graphic design and fell in love with it. She loves to snatch up any opportunity to create or illustrate, and this has translated into projects working to design book covers, a cognitive illustration test for a neurology lab at her school, and more.
