While visiting Calcutta, a 5 year old boy becomes separated from his family. After quite a bit of wandering, he finds an Australian couple who give him a loving home. Although he grows up happy with them, he still thinks of the family he lost. As an adult, he decides to undertake an epic quest in order to find the life that he left behind long ago.
