10th Annual Nature FestClick to enlarge photo

11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
at the Elm Fork Nature Preserve
inside McInnish Sports Complex off
Sandy Lake Road, one mile west of I-35E

The Elm Fork Nature Preserve hosts the Elm Fork Nature Fest with environmental exhibits, a rock climbing wall, animal shows, guided hikes, kayaking, food and a variety of exciting and educational activities for all ages. This family event is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the Elm Fork Nature Preserve. For additional information or inclement weather status, call 972-466-9813. No pets are allowed at this event due to the sensitivity of the site. Animal shows are subject to cancellation if temperatures are too extreme for their safety. Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2
noon to 5:00 p.m.
at Rosemeade Recreation Center
1330 E. Rosemeade Parkway

Bring the whole family out to view over 300 feet of HO scale model train layouts featured at the Spring Creek Model of steam, diesel, freight and passenger model train display. Friday, December 5
6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
at the A. W. Perry Homestead Museum
1509 N. Perry Road

Victorian Carolers stroll the grounds spreading holiday cheer. Guides provide informal tours of the historic home decorated for the season. Children can make an old-fashioned Christmas tree ornament in the craft tent. Homemade style cookies and hot apple cider will be served. Bring your whole family to this popular celebration. Flyer.

at the Senior Center

$5 per person

Free dance lesson at 6:00 p.m.

Dance hosts are available. Cookies and coffee at the break. Dance schedule includes Gary Lee - Ballroom, High Caliber - Country & Western, Southern Pride - Country & Western, Ronnie Martin - Ballroom, and Charlie Patteson - Ballroom. For adults 50+.
