Am I eligible to get a Carrollton Public Library card?All Texas residents are eligible for Carrollton Public Library cards. You must be at least 18 years old and have one of the following items with you as proof of residency at your current address:
How do I get a library card?Apply online then bring your photo ID with proof of address to the Front Desk of either library.
You may also fill out and print this application (PDF). (En EspaƱol PDF). Bring it and your photo ID with proof of address to the Front Desk of either library.
Can my child get a library card?Parents can apply for a library card for a child under 18. Parents are responsible for all materials checked out and late fines on the child's card.
How much does it cost to get a library card?
What are the check out limits on a new card?For the first 6 months you may check out 5 items at a time.
How do I renew my library card?Library cards are issued for a period of one year.

You must renew your card in person if your card expires and is not eligible for automatic renewal. Bring a valid Texas Driver License or ID to any service desk, and we will renew your card for another year.
I lost my library card. How do I report this?Report lost library cards immediately. Call the library at 972-466-4800 or submit a library account feedback online. There is a $1.00 fee to replace a lost card.
