Am I eligible to get a Carrollton Public Library card?
All Texas residents are eligible for Carrollton Public Library cards. You must be at least 18 years old and have one of the following items with you as proof of residency at your current address:
Apply online and then bring your photo ID with proof of address to the Front Desk of either library.
Can my child get a library card?
Parents can apply for a library card for a child under 18. Parents are responsible for all materials checked out and late fines on the child's card.
I am a grandparent and bring my grandchild to the library. Can I get a card for my grandchild?
Only parents or legal guardians can sign up a minor child for a library card. Are you this child’s legal guardian? If not, grandparents or other caregivers are encouraged to sign up for a card for themselves and then check out items for use by the children in their care.

For the first 6 months you may check out 5 items at a time.
I lost my library card. How do I report this?
Report lost library cards immediately. Call the library at 972-466-4800 or submit a library account feedback online. There is a $1.00 fee to replace a lost card.
