General Information The Historic Preservation Advisory Committee (HPAC) consists of 9 members appointed by City Council. The Committee advises and makes recommendations to City Council regarding the preservation and protection of the City's architecturally and/or culturally significant resources for future generations. The Planning Department provides staff support to this committee. (Established by Section 34.050, Carrollton Code of Ordinances.) Enter the building from the north (Jamestown Drive) side where the big parking lot is. The south (Jackson Road) side doors may be locked at night. All meetings are open to the public, and HPAC always welcomes any interested visitors! 2013 Meetings
HPAC holds regular meetings monthly.
Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall on the second floor in the City Council Briefing Room.

Harper, Clerk Telegrapher Historic Resource Survey HPAC has completed an Historic Resource Survey. The intent is that this will be a "living" document that will be updated and added to as new information becomes available. You can download the document by right-clicking on the title above, and saving to your own hard drive. It is in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, and is quite large (5.7 M). Historic Preservation Ordinances On July 16, 2002, City Council approved Article XX.3 of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, creating an historic preservation overlay district which could be applied to property in Carrollton. On Tuesday, May 6, 2003, City Council approved the Carrollton Heights Historic District zoning ordinance, which provides for development regulations different than other residential districts.
