As part of your residential solid waste services and for no additional cost, household hazardous waste is collected at your home as frequently as monthly. Please schedule an appointment by calling Waste Management's At Your Door collection service at 1-800-HHW-PKUP (1-800-449-7587). Verbal instructions will be provided and then a collection kit with a ruggedized bag will be sent prior to your scheduled pickup. 

How Does At Your Door Collection Service Work? Four Easy Steps:

1. To participate, you must set up a collection appointment.
There are three ways to schedule a collection:
• Visit wmatyourdoor.com to schedule online
• Call 1-800-449-7587 (Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.)
• Email AtYourDoor@WM.com

If you call in or email  the Customer Service Representatives will guide you through the steps toward a safe and successful collection. You will be asked several questions, including your address and the type and amount of materials available for the pick up. You will be provided a convenient collection date and information about where to place the materials for collection.  Be advised that most collections are typically scheduled two to three weeks out, with most completed in approximately two weeks. 

2. Your collection kit will be sent.
After an appointment has been scheduled, a complete collection kit will be mailed to your home. This kit includes an instruction sheet, collection bag, and other items to help pack and secure your household-generated special materials.

3. Prepare for collection.
Once you have received the collection kit, please read the included instruction sheet, and then package your materials according to the directions. Review the list of acceptable and unacceptable materials. Leaking containers will not be collected. Information regarding how to prepare for your collection can also be found here.

4. On your specified collection date, set out your materials.
Before 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection date, set out your collection bag in the specific location discussed with the Customer Service Representative. Place the bag near your home but away from the street, curb, or alleyway. During the day, a Customer Service Technician will collect materials from your home.
