The Rosemeade Recreation Center expansion is a 6,088 square foot expansion of the center and includes a fitness area for cardio equipment and new locker rooms with showers. All new cardio equipment (treadmills, elipticals, bikes, etc.) is now located in the new addition and the existing fitness area is now dedicated to weight machines, free weights and dumbbells. The Rosemeade Recreation Center offers 44,000 square-feet of sports and fitness activities. Located in the 28-acre Rosemeade Park at 1330 Rosemeade Parkway, just east of Old Denton Road, the Center has 2 gyms, full-sized basketball & volleyball court, weight and fitness room, game room, 4 racquetball courts, restrooms, central office and customer service counters, lockers, refreshment areas, classrooms, mirrors, bars and a dance floor for classes. Within the surrounding property, there is a playground and the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex. In addition to drop-in daily activities for Carrollton residents, a variety of classes and programs are offered for all ages.

Membership or a daily fee is required to use this facility. Membership information packet, Registration form. Non-resident class program fee is 10% of enrollment fee.

Enjoy an educational staycation this holiday at the Carrollton Public Libraries’ “Twelve Days of Winter Break” which starts Monday, December 20 and includes many activities for kids, highlighting winter holidays.
Do you LOVE to sing? Have you ever had a desire to sing with a group of like-minded singers? All North Texas residents are welcome to audition for the Carrollton Community Chorus.
Choose to not pour grease down the drain and prevent pipe blockage. Stop by the City of Carrollton Central Service Center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 1 or Tuesday, December 2 to properly dispose of grease and cooking oil for free.
Over the past weeks, there have been a few reports of coyote sightings in Carrollton neighborhoods. Residents need to be aware of our urban wildlife and take small precautions, like keeping pets on a leash and observing wildlife from a safe distance.
The January-April 2015 issue includes details regarding City events, activities, and programs during those months. Leisure Connections is also available in hard copy at recreation centers, libraries, and City Hall beginning.
