Thank you for visiting the Carrollton Police Department website. We hope that this website provides you with a variety of information about our Department, its outstanding personnel, programs and statistical information. The City of Carrollton has been recognized as one of the best places to live in the United States because of the many positive aspects of the city, including its safety. Our goal and mission is to make Carrollton a safe community for residents, businesses and visitors. We are proud of the positive relationship the department has with our community and it’s this strong teamwork that allows us to work together to accomplish our goals.                          

The men and women of the Carrollton Police Department are a dedicated, well trained, and enthusiastic group of professionals who take pride in their work. They utilize the most modern and progressive law enforcement techniques and provide exemplary service. Carrollton Police Department has rigorous background, training, and performance standards, which insures that we hire only the very best. Employees are charged with maintaining the highest standards of modern policing and progressive techniques. I am proud to say that they rarely, if ever, let me down in the professional way in which they do their job and treat our customers. This department has high quality employees, progressive training and performance standards, and all of the employees have a personal drive to do their very best. When combining this with the partnership we have with our community, our excellent volunteers, and with the assurance that we are utilizing the best practices in law enforcement, I feel confident in saying that this is one of the best law enforcement agencies in the DFW Metroplex.

It is NEVER safe to drive or walk into flood waters. A mere 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock over an adult. It takes just 12 inches of rushing water to carry away a small car, while 2 feet of rushing water can carry away most vehicles.
Work on a water line on Broadway Street scheduled for May will necessitate full weekend closures of Broadway Street between Second Avenue and Belt Line Road and between Belt Line Road and College Street. Overnight closures of Belt Line Road will also be necessary.
The City of Carrollton was recently given the opportunity to provide valuable law books to El Centro College, a branch of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD).
Much progress can be seen to Carrollton’s railroad Quiet Zones, a project headed by the Federal Railroad Administration. BNSF Railway has completed installation of all major pieces of equipment at each of the nine locations.
Trust 911 and make the call at the first sign of a heart attack. Reducing time to treatment is the #1 factor in saving lives in heart attack situations and calling 911 is almost always the fast way to get lifesaving treatment.
