Thank you for visiting the Carrollton Police Department website. We hope that this website provides you with a variety of information about our Department, its outstanding personnel, programs and statistical information. The City of Carrollton has been recognized as one of the best places to live in the United States because of the many positive aspects of the city, including its safety. Our goal and mission is to make Carrollton a safe community for residents, businesses and visitors. We are proud of the positive relationship the department has with our community and it’s this strong teamwork that allows us to work together to accomplish our goals.                          

The men and women of the Carrollton Police Department are a dedicated, well trained, and enthusiastic group of professionals who take pride in their work. They utilize the most modern and progressive law enforcement techniques and provide exemplary service. Carrollton Police Department has rigorous background, training, and performance standards, which insures that we hire only the very best. Employees are charged with maintaining the highest standards of modern policing and progressive techniques. I am proud to say that they rarely, if ever, let me down in the professional way in which they do their job and treat our customers. This department has high quality employees, progressive training and performance standards, and all of the employees have a personal drive to do their very best. When combining this with the partnership we have with our community, our excellent volunteers, and with the assurance that we are utilizing the best practices in law enforcement, I feel confident in saying that this is one of the best law enforcement agencies in the DFW Metroplex.

The Carrollton Police Department will host the 287(g) annual steering committee meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Court Community Room, 2001 E. Jackson Road.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 35Express crews will close the southbound I-35E entrance ramp at Belt Line Road. Southbound traffic wishing to access I-35E will use the entrance ramp south of Crosby Road.
The Carrollton Police Department is introducing a new opportunity for citizens to actively show encouragement for local law enforcement officers.
A tax rate of $0.615375 per $100 valuation has been proposed for adoption by the governing body of the City of Carrollton. This rate exceeds the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate, and state law requires that two public hearings be held by the governing body before adopting the proposed tax rate.
