We hope that this website provides you with a variety of information about our Department, its outstanding personnel, programs and statistical information. The City of Carrollton has been recognized as one of the best places to live in the United States because of the many positive aspects of the city, including its safety. Our goal and mission is to make Carrollton a safe community for residents, businesses and visitors. We are proud of the positive relationship the department has with our community and it’s this strong teamwork that allows us to work together to accomplish our goals.

 

The men and women of the Carrollton Police Department are a dedicated, well trained, and enthusiastic group of professionals who take pride in their work. They utilize the most modern and progressive law enforcement techniques and provide exemplary service. Carrollton Police Department has rigorous background, training, and performance standards, which insures that we hire only the very best. Employees are charged with maintaining the highest standards of modern policing and progressive techniques. I am proud to say that they rarely, if ever, let me down in the professional way in which they do their job and treat our customers. This department has high quality employees, progressive training and performance standards, and all of the employees have a personal drive to do their very best. When combining this with the partnership we have with our community, our excellent volunteers, and with the assurance that we are utilizing the best practices in law enforcement, I feel confident in saying that this is one of the best law enforcement agencies in the DFW Metroplex.

The Carrollton Police Department will be testing for the position of Police Officer on Saturday April 5, 2014. Written exam is at 8:00am, Physical Agility exam is at 1:00pm.

Beginning August 18, the City of Carrollton Municipal Court will be making telephone calls and mailing collection letters to individuals who have outstanding arrest warrants.
As we are in the midst of our annual severe weather season, we need to remain diligent about threats, preparedness, and protocols in the event Carrollton experiences severe weather.
As work to widen the I-35E bridges continues in Carrollton, Belt Line Road, Crosby Road, Valley View Lane, Main and West College Streets will be closed at the I-35E frontage road. These closures will be in place nightly from 9 p.m.-6 a.m. through Sunday, August 31.
