Birds that often precede egret nesting have been sighted in Carrollton this week and City staff have begun efforts to encourage them to relocate, especially in neighborhoods near Josey Lane north of Frankford Road. Be aware that these efforts may be loud.

Mr. Chad Jameson, Maintenance Crew Leader III for the City of Carrollton Public Works Water Utilities Division, has received the Richard Ridings Community Involvement Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

Carrollton has been awarded the 2013 Public Works Project of the Year Award by the Texas Public Works Association (TPWA) in the division of projects “$2 million, but less than $5 million” for the environment category. The award is for the Furneaux Creek 5 Channel Improvement Project.
