Posted Date: 2/28/2013 12:30 PM
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awarded much needed equipment to Carrollton Fire Rescue. Among the equipment received were fire hose accessories, consisting of 27 cut off valves and eight nozzles worth more than $14,700. The donated equipment will deliver steady streams of water at maximum pressure and increase the department’s efficiency when fighting fires. Carrollton Fire Rescue was presented with a check on Wednesday, February 27 at the Euless location of Firehouse Subs. The Fire House Subs Safety Foundation was created in 2005 with the mission of providing funding, life-saving equipment, and educational opportunities to first-responders and public safety entities. Through the non-profit 501(c)(3), Firehouse Subs has given $5.7 million to hometown heroes in 36 states and Puerto Rico, including more than $425,600 in Texas. The City of Carrollton is extremely grateful for the support and is looking forward working with Firehouse Subs in the near future.
