The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is considering a request to expand the current footprint of the Camelot Landfill, located at 508 Huffines Blvd., by 38.5 acres and to increase the vertical height by 205. ft. This creates many potential concerns for residents such as odor pollution, potential for more heavy truck traffic, and the negative impact this expansion may have on property values. What are your thoughts? If you don't want to look at a mountain of trash, now is the time to let the State know. • Older sections of the landfill do not have a liner, therefore groundwater contamination can occur. 
• Hazardous wastes have been detected in groundwater monitoring wells located near the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, the source of our drinking water
• This contamination should be addressed and cleaned-up before piling on hundreds more feet of new waste.
• TCEQ has identified a list 125 deficiencies in the application, meaning 125 issues or concerns have been raised.  Comments on this application can be made online at TCEQ website (permit 1312B).
