What’s New @ Your Carrollton Public Library

eBooks Now Available - Based on Library survey results, your Carrollton Public Library will offer eBooks beginning September 17 through Baker & Taylor’s Innovative Axis 360 Digital Media Library. In an effort to make books and other learning materials more accessible, the checked out materials can be viewed immediately or transferred to a variety of different makes and models of devices, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and personal computers. Library patrons will be able to download eBooks that travel with them 24 hours a day. Coming this fall: eBooks in EPUB format to read on compatible eReaders! Find Out More

iPads Now Available for In-house Checkout – Through a donation from the Friends of the Carrollton Public Library, you can now check out an iPad at the Library for in-house use up to four hours. Use it with the free WiFi provided, become technologically savvy and experience an iPad. Utilize the many digital offerings at the Library, including the Library catalog, research apps and the ability to search for online information, all from a comfortable chair in the Library. Advanced Computer Classes Now Available- Interested in more advanced computer classes in computer literacy, job searching, and Microsoft Word and Excel? Sign up for "Tech Skills for the 21st Century," a series of four classes, with progressing difficulty. Classes made available by a Community Impact Grant, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the State Library and Archives Commission. Registration begins September 17.
