New Effort Being Made to Help End Veteran Homelessness

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has launched a new effort to assist people who served in the military that may be struggling after returning from service. Carrollton City Manager Leonard Martin said, “I am very pleased to see this effort by the federal government to assist our veterans who have never received the recognition or support they deserve for giving so much of their lives, themselves and their families to serve our country. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) aims to end Veteran homelessness by 2015 and is providing at-risk and homeless Veterans with health care, housing, employment, education other job training resources.
