CARROLLTON PUBLIC LIBRARY RECEIVES WALMART GRANT
Carrollton, TX – Carrollton Public Library recently received a grant of $1,500 from the Wal-Mart Foundation and the Wal-Mart store at 1213 E. Trinity Mills Road, Carrollton, TX. As indicated on the Web site, “The Walmart Foundation strives to provide opportunities that improve the lives of individuals in our communities including our customers and associates.” Funds received were used to purchase instructional DVDs about computers for all levels, from beginning to advanced. The Carrollton Public Library added 48 DVD’s about Microsoft Office 2010 and general computer instruction which are available to cardholders and complement the free classes regularly provided at both libraries.
