A tax rate of $0.617875 per $100 valuation has been proposed for adoption by the governing body of the City of Carrollton. This rate exceeds the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate, and state law requires that two public hearings be held by the governing body before adopting the proposed tax rate.
The City of Carrollton will hold Public Hearings August 19 and September 2 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall on the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2014 and ending September 30, 2015.
Applications are available online at cityofcarrollton.com/citysecretary and must be submitted to the City Secretary’s Office (1945 E. Jackson) no later than Thursday, September 11.
The Carrollton City Council selected Councilmembers Bob Garza as Mayor Pro Tem and Anthony Wilder as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem at the Tuesday, July 1 Council meeting.
